The Upside to Winter
Although the weather forecast is looking down, the winter real estate forecast is looking up! Home sales often peak in the summer months, particularly June and July. The market prices drop in the fall and dip to the lowest in the winter. Home prices can sometimes be up to 10% less in the winter months. Higher mortgage rates might also result in a slower increase in the housing market for the first quarter of 2017. Experts predict there could be three more rate increases throughout 2017. With fewer homes on the market, and fewer buyers driving house prices up this is the perfect time to buy. Don’t let the cold weather keep you inside!
