Slater Realty Group has been awarded the prestigious Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist Distinction (CLHMS) and the Million Dollar Guild recognition. Slater Realty Group is also certified as an International Property Specialist (CIPS).

    Founder / CEO

    Jim Slater’s approach to real estate is actually rather simple. He doesn’t consider himself a realtor, but rather a businessman with a real estate license. With his well-known reputation as “The Lakeshore Guy,” Jim brings a commitment that is second to none and impeccable negotiating skills to every transaction.

    Jim has specialized knowledge in waterfront properties and has spent his entire life on the water. He is a native of Minnesota and knows first-hand what living the lakeshore lifestyle is all about. He started studying lakeshore properties in 1992 and has spent the last 16 years devoted to selling waterfront properties and luxury homes.

    Jim has saved his clients hundreds of thousands of dollars in real estate transactions. He has the power to harness raw data to help determine the ideal buyers for your listing. He hones in on key markets where those buyers are likely to come from – all while using real numbers, trends, and statistics.

    Jim Slater is an educator. He spends an enormous amount of time devoted to learning about the areas in which a transaction is taking place. He then uses his knowledge to locate the right buyer through his global network.

    He goes above and beyond expectations getting to know his clients, listening and understanding exactly what their lifestyle needs and wants are. Jim studies and locates the properties, which fully meet his clients’ expectations and will ensure that critical lifestyle objectives are fulfilled.

    Jim has earned many distinctions including certification in shoreline management, he is a certified Negotiation Expert, a certified International Property Specialist, he is an Institute of Luxury Home Marketing Guild member and was featured on the cover of Top Agent Magazine. Jim has received numerous awards but the most fulfilling award that he received is the Champion of Hope Volunteer of the Year award from Smile Network International. This incredible award is given to those that give their talents to bettering the lives of others.
