3 Ways to Kickstart Your 2018

What’s that one thing you have in the back of your mind, that one thing you are not convinced you can achieve, that one thing that makes you nervous and scared, and the one thing you cannot get out of your mind because you want it so badly. You may have convinced yourself it is impossible to achieve this goal, but this is the exact thing you need to go for this year! If it scares you, if it makes you uncomfortable then it is worth moving past the fear and going for it! Maybe that something amazing you have always wanted is a new career or maybe it is to live in a beautiful lake home. Either way here are 3 steps to overcoming your fear and achieving something amazing.

1) Support from people already stepping outside their comfort zone

 Having a group of family and friends that support you and your process of achieving your goal is important but surrounding yourself with those that are excelling at the thing you want to achieve is the best way to find the motivation and inspiration to overcome your fears and go for it!

2) Get out of your own head

Our mind is so powerful and it is important to use it to its full potential. However, we believe all too often in our doubts and fears when we should be going with our gut. What we physically and mentally can achieve is far beyond what we tell ourselves we can. Geting out of your own head means to stop the negative thoughts in their tracks and to do the things you have always wanted to do. Our minds and bodies were designed to do significantly more than we allow them to do. This makes it possible to achieve anything you want.

3) It will take hard work

 Now that you have decided to step out of your comfort zone, now you need to maintain that mindset all the way through the year. Achieving greatness takes time, hard work, and consistency. Whatever you want to achieve this year will not happen in one night of overcoming your fear it will take days, weeks, maybe months of hard work. Everyday wake up with an achiever’s mindset, work hard, and stay consistent.

Whatever it is you are wanting to go for this year tell yourself every morning when you wake up that you are capable of much more than you are already doing, we all are! Wake up with an achiever’s mindset, do not work hard but instead work even harder, stay consistent, and surround yourself with people already stepping outside of their comfort zone. Happy 2018!
