Minnesota – Happiest State in The U.S.
Out of all 50 states, Minnesota is found to be the happiest! Is it because we have over 10,000 lakes? Do we just really love the winters here? There were actually several factors used to determine the happiness rating of this state. These factors include adult depression, quality of sleep, participation in sports, suicide rate, hours worked, long-term jobless rate, income, volunteering, safety, and divorce rate. The most important of these that contributed to Minnesotan’s happiness was the volunteer rate! Minnesotans love helping others which have been shown to improve your own happiness as well. Volunteering manages chronic illnesses, improves your mood, lowers stress levels, brings the community together, and helps people find a purpose in life. Minnesotans also have a good work environment and overall well-being. There’s a reason people love the beautiful state of Minnesota so much!
